We all know the hunt is often the best part. But when your wantlist is longer than your attention span… when your time for hunting is better spent listening… where can you turn? Did you know? A LOT of record sales these days take place privately. Personal sellers skipping Ebay and Discogs and only selling via Instagram / Facebook / Record Fairs / Pop-ups? The real diggers don’t want to give up the fees to the sites (and to PayPal / Credit Card Transactions) and prefer to sell cheaper directly. (Also a good way to stay off the radar of the IRS, but that’s another story.) So if you really want certain scarce or rare records and you are only going to record stores and searching Discogs, there’s a very real chance you are missing out.
